Eagles Landing

June 30, 2026 By Rossi Golf

This piece was inspired by a drawing I created while I was working at a coffee shop the other day. I was putting together a sketch set for the 4th of July, and I just thought to myself, "Damn, this would look really cool as a painting." And once I get an idea in my head, I can't get it out, so I instantly got to work on it..

The Concept

The concept for this is pretty self-explanatory. It's based on the bald eagle and inspired by the 4th of July. In the painting, you see patriotic golf bags and American flags, and you see the main focal point, the eagle, landing on the golf clubs.

What I learned from this piece is that you can't be afraid to take risks. To be honest, I was very scared to draw and paint this eagle, and I had zero clue how it was gonna turn out. But after a few coats and a few layers and some nice line work, it turned out exactly how I wanted. I'm learning that you can't be afraid to take risks.

All in all, this painting was made to highlight the 4th of July and a concept that I came up with while I was drawing in a coffee shop. As I continue to paint, it's so cool to actually see these come to life on huge 24 by 36 canvases..
